FOUNDATION
A very serious subject, a solid foundation is the start for every good (doll)house.
“Foundation work needs to be completed before the siding is attached” is what our designer decided. So in keeping with the rigid schedule, stones are being fashioned by a well skilled artisan (7 year old). These stones, once carefully air dried, are then painstakingly glued to the plywood structure. All safety precautions have been put in place, and the crafts people have been taking adequate breaks to ensure nothing goes awry.
In truth, the stone work was assembled, first on thick cardstock. It dried and then fell off, and so individually glued in place is the course of action. All stones will be given a good faux finish once in place.
